George began his career during a placement year working as a site engineer with Sir Robert McAlpine. Upon returning to Northumbria University, he graduated with a first-class honours degree (BSc) in Construction Engineering Management.
Following his studies, George expanded his knowledge as a multi-disciplinary consultant, undertaking roles as a Project Manager, Principal Designer, and Clerk of Works on a variety of projects across the construction sector.
George joined Mountfair Consultancy in 2024, where he further enhanced his skill set by obtaining his NEBOSH General Certificate and National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety. Since joining Mountfair, George has achieved chartered status with the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and upgraded his accreditation with the Association for Project Safety to become an Incorporated Member (IMaPS).
Throughout his career, George has been involved in a wide range of projects, ranging from residential and commercial refurbishments, new-build housing schemes, large apartment block developments, and complex high-rise residential refurbishments.
Outside of work, George can often be found meandering around a golf course or watching a rugby match. He also enjoys exploring the countryside, whether it is walking his dog Mylo or shooting.
Caroline holds an MEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from Newcastle University and started her career as a Structural Engineer. Her engineering qualifications and construction experience complement and enhance her knowledge and ability to work as a Principal Designer. Caroline is accredited with the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety and is a Certified Member of the Association for Project Safety.
She has a strong technical and commercial understanding of the effective management and delivery of projects from both a designer and health & safety point of view. Caroline has been involved in a wide range of projects as both an engineer and principal designer, ranging from surveys and alterations to large new-build schemes to complex and challenging remodels of existing buildings.
Caroline is Past-Chair of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) North East committee, Co-Chair of the CIC North East and also a part of the NAWIC North East committee; she is passionate about encouraging the younger generation into the construction industry whilst also ensuring retention of people within the industry.
